It's so comforting to connect with you...
I spent Saturday with my dear, soul-sister, Lesa, in Corona Del Mar. Do you have a girl-friend who knows and loves your soul in spite of all its bruises & beauty, it's weeds and blooming possibilities? I hope you do - they are precious blessings because they have the ability to help us plant seeds of both truth and beauty in our soul -
and help move things around to make room for infinite possibility to show up.
We talked a lot about living the life God wants us to live, and why we as women so often have difficulty trusting that we are ready with our existing talent to be seen more fully, right now, without having to place so much pressure and expectation on the notion that what we are sharing needs to somehow be perfect or somehow improved upon before we can be recognized or soar to greater heights? It's this inner dialog that creates restraint, and it is the self-doubt that holds us back from leaping into God's plan & purpose for our life. And, as Lesa also said, "it causes a quagmire."
I wonder - what might happen if we acknowledge our fear and our need to be perfectly ready, and simply say, “Hello Fear. Hello Perfectionism. I am aware of your presence, and I intend to move forward (with or without you) taking God’s hand, leaping right into the middle of His purpose for my life.” Saying this outloud reminds me of cliff diving in Utah. We have to take action, we have to create motion, we have to eventually leap if we want the experience.
There's something big, really, really BIG that I want to leap into. I've been planning, preparing, and praying and I feel sooooooo close to taking that deep breath and wildly fun leap, saying, "okay, let's do it!" The bell of caution still rings for me tho, and I am trying to discern who or what is doing the ringing. Until then, I remain thoughtful. Taking a foolish or impetuous leap could lead to a very hard fall - So, I place my trust in my Creator, knowing that when it's time to leap, I will be filled not only with fluttering anticipation, but assurance that I will have a soft landing.
Do you find yourself in a quagmire? Do you need to have the conversation with your sweet self:
“Hello Fear. Hello Perfectionism.
I am aware of your presence, and I intend to move forward (with or without you)
taking God’s hand, leaping right into the middle of His purpose for my life.”
What leap do you feel life calling you to take?
What seeds of truth do you need to be reminded of to take your leap?
Whose hand are you holding as you leap so you experience a soft landing?
are you a part of our facebook community - c'mon over
