Do you recall a time you've had to call upon your courage?
I'm trying to figure out if it's the having to call upon it, or the actually exercising it that makes my heart flutter more - nonetheless, the heart's fluttering, like a million butterfly wings.
As I have shared here, life, as we know it is changing, in every possible way, for my precious family and me, and while some may view circumstances as defeat, I tend to "grow though life rather than simply go through it." The former is infinately more fulfilling, and as J.K. Rowling once said, “hitting rock bottom became a solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.” I think we might all agree that she too prefers to grow through it!
I am thoughtful about the foundation upon which we re-build our family life - and in many ways too, my creative life. The journey is a shared one, and the destination is a co-creation with God/Spirit/Source.
Like the fuzzy little caterpillar who coccoons, it is not until we surrender to what is, that the magic within the chrysalis happens -
the transformation
the renewal
the wings to fly
Life is transforming, and so too is my creative expression - but change is scary, until we experience the ecose, or emergence into renewal.
There is such newfound freedom when I create. I feel as though I am touching the very precious part of me that I have, for so, so many reasons, denied, until now.
She is a free-er spirit, (but truth be dared to be told, still remains a bit retrained by thoughts of acceptance by you, and by our creative partners). She wants to hear a resounding Y E S to her newfound creative expression. She is the spirit who wants to run through the flower field, and dance and sing, and feel carefree, be carefree and belt out the Coke song Perfect Harmony.
I sense most of us need a bit of that right now - harmony, flower fields, carefree moments and a bit more of a free spirit and maybe some really good chocolate, and really good company to share it all with.
She is brave enough to tell a new story about what's possible in her life.
She understands courage
and has an intimate relationship with what it feels like to really exercise it - heart fluttering and all - on soooo many levels and in so many life experiences.
She seeks growth, acceptance, and freedom in creative expression - She invites transformation, renewal, and wings to fly.
She is you, and She is me - we are on a journey together - so, I say, "let's run through the flower field and sing out loud, celebrating the uniqueness in each of us, while embracing the commonalities that unite us as women. Let's celebrate listening to and hearing our inner voice and giving value to her, encouraging her, 'I look, I see, I understand you.'"
Do you want to tell a new story? Where do you draw your courage from? What is calling you to be brave? How does all of this resonate with you? If it does, I would love for you to share this post on your blog or link to it on your facebook page. I am eager to engage in some conversation about this.
My wings are stretching . . .the coccon has been a safe haven of transformation, but look out world, the butterflies are free!
