Hello, hello
My thoughts continue to rest on doing what you love and realizing your heart's desire.
What does your heart desire?
Did you get the chance to read my interview at the lovely Beth Nichols' Do What You Love? Beth's work and what she offers is so inspiring for anyone contemplating taking one more step closer to realizing their dreams & desires.
Do you ever wonder what allows some to live their dream? I do (wonder), but I also know first-hand from my own personal experience.
I think they do too:
oh and this brilliant group of dancers (I teared up again this morning as I watched back the recording)
the opportunity alone to express one self through the experience of your heart's desire is enough to conjure up all kinds of emotion - I think I could actually feel the little girl's emotion (see as the camera pulls in for a close up during the interview at the end - the little girl teary-eyed) -
joy
affirmation
acceptance
spirit
hope
peace
accomplishment
satisfaction
all at once
doing what she loves - dancing and telling a story with her dance. Sheesh, who wouldn't want to feel all that good stuff? It's fantastistic, it's the stuff that carries you through the day, through the more challenging parts of life. It is what fortifies you.
(my newest print available here)
Just today, ask yourself, "what is my heart's desire - if I could do what I love, what would it be?" Then think about what you would feel doing this, whatever this may be - performing on stage, public speaking, writing a book, being a mother, opening your own retail store or bakery...let your heart lead you and let ago of your attachment to the "thing" and instead focus on the feelings the doing/being create in you, then, choose to take one step today toward that desire. Your step could be simply deciding, "I'm going to do it!" Or, it could be making that phone call you've been a little anxious about making, or journaling some of those feeling conjured up by doing what you love.
The important thing is that you take one step . . .
because every dream begins with a desire and you get closer to doing what you love taking one step at a time.
What does your heart desire?
What step will you take today?
Plant the seeds of your heart's desire and see what blooms
lots of love
xoxo
p.s. I adore these stairs, aren't they so happy? I LOVE yellow and hmm, I just may have to re-do the stairs in my home.
Hi Terri. Love the new heart artwork and those stairs are adorable! Isn't yellow just the happiest colour? Happy Painting!
