Long, long ago, when I was creating home decor, hand painting furniture, and selling my wares locally, I discovered the talented Shelly Kennedy, proprietess of Drooz Studio.

Delighted with and intrigued by her creative journey she remained on my "artists to watch" radar...as fate would have it, and because it is, after all, a small world, our creative paths have crossed and connected and I am delighted to be in community with Shelly.

As a trendsetter with a unique and highly sought after style of work, some big and small have over the years have tried to "emulate" Shelly's  Drooz Studio paintings. IN the spirit of copyright advocasy, Shelly founded be your ORIGINAL best and in Shelly's own words,

"Through my own personal experiences in the industry of “art for children” over the past 13 years I have learned that the system for maintaining & fighting copyright and intellectual property laws STINK! Sunny Citrus Colors

Color is the word and homes are being filled with a lot of color - bright & bold.  Sunny citrus colors in bold hues bring a fresh twist to traditional cottage home decorating colors, which historically have been more muted and grayed down. I will always LOVE this color palette as is has been and as it evolves into as seen at the little cottage and as  represented by  Jeanne d'arc Living .  .  .

 

May I simply sigh and tell you

"I love you" and

"I will always love you"

"YOU will always be in my heart and of my heart

an authentic expression of my spirit."

But . . .

as time changes, so must we

bend and bow

Today, anything goes as we seek to imbue the balance of our personality into our homes creating our own safe haven, our sanctuaire.

The yang to the yin, the playful to the sophisticated. Have you tried experimenting with adding bright, fun colors to your home.

You can do so using orange color schemes,. or maybe some shades of green

One of the home decorating do’s that most interior design experts tell their client is to always consider color psychology. That’s it, to believe that a particular color can really affect one’s mood, emotion and behavior. I believe it to be true, do you?  Even Pablo Picasso one said that, color like features, follow the changes of the emotion.

This totally reminds me of these cool guys!  I'm a big fan.

Kindness Does Matter

Good morning beautiful spirit,

What if we all showed a little bit of kindness each day, how do you think you'ld feel at the end of the day when you're ready to lay your head upon your pillow? How do you think the beneficiary of our kindness would feel?
