"There is nothing like staying home for real comfort." Jane Austen
I have been ill for the past several days and have sought comfort at home while unable to work - I am working today, halfway, well, sort of -trying to resume my level of energy needed.
There is joy to be experienced in comfort, isn't there?
the warm touch of a hand caressing your hair or shoulder
a cup of hot peppermint tea
a hand written note from a friend
shared laughter
chocolate
sleep
a quiet afternoon, reading
a steaming bowl of chicken noodle soup (my lunch today)
and a beautiful flower
where do you find comfort?
Thank you for the post.

Hi Terri - Sorry to hear that you've been under the weather. Hope you are feeling better. Comforts around here include, a covering with a comfy quilt, watching old black and white movies and yes, chicken soup. Feel better kiddo.

Oh, I hope you feel better soon. Pamper yourself-you deserve it. I have been reading all your "joy" posts, and it has been so inspiring. We are going through a difficult patch right now, and sometimes it is hard to find the joy because you get so overwhelmed with the stress. Thanks for reminding me to stop the whirlwind every now and then.

Sometimes it is nice to be forced to sit still and just take care of yourself. Maybe thats why we get sick.. otherwise lots of us never would. I hope you are feeling better. To me a warm blanket, a hot drink and a good book says comfort.
