Shall we make a new rule of life from tonight: always to try to be a little kinder than is necessary --J.M. Barrie, writer (Peter Pan)
I think I like that rule. I shall create something pretty with this quote and place it in our entryway reminding us as we leave our home each day to extend ourselves in kindness to others.
Speaking of kindness, we've elected to share our Inspired journal kit with two of our readers . . . CONGRATULATIONS to Nan Neely, (my daughter's selection from placing names in the random name integer selector, and to SherryG (we need your email and blog link please) selected from the random number integer. Ladies, contact us by email with your address and we'll ship a pretty package out to you so you can create your very own Inspired journal.
I recently received an artist's sample of my Magenetic Expressions from my Webster's product line. These are beautiful magnetic memo boards that are framed and ready to decorate your walls and organize your life. I've already decided I need to place an order for 3 for my office and 2 for my laundry room (where I use a wall to keep track of school papers, dates and the like for my kids). I also placed a 9" one on the sideboard in our kitchen - here I can dispaly meaningful quotes to inspire our thoughts and behavior, or even surprise love notes to my girls and my husband.
Hubby finally finished my art cabinet for my studio. I am so excited to put this baby to work. I throw these design ideas at him, and he somehow seems to bring them to life . . .thank you Clark! This yummy cabinet is completely green (no pun intended). We repurposed vintage oak flooring, bead board, and pine. All that's new is the paint (a lovely Laura Ashley shade of green). I still need to make a fabric skirt for the other side where all the storage is.
I keep vascillating between going with a classic color palette and design concept for my studio, or something a bit more playful and whimsical like my new Hello! Beautiful collection - like this memo board and step stool I designed. I LOVE THIS PLAYFUL BRIGHT LOOK! What do you think?
Here's a close up of the memo board.
I think if I had a traditional farm house I'd love to do my kitchen, family room and studio in this style. For now, it's fun to play and infuse little pieces here and there for a bit. But couldn't you just see a table linen, tea towels, dishes and an apron designed with this art? I can.
Well, off to spend time with my family for the weekend. Enjoy yours...
Blessings,
Terri
Hi Terri..Your studio looks beautiful. I like the touches of your new line and I can definitely
see linens in this. When you make them let me know! :) I just saw that I won! I won???? I can't wait to begin my new journal. Thanks so much!

Oh Wow Terri, That cabinet peice is just so stunning and shabby chic . . . wish I had the space for something that great. Maybe when my daughter finally moves her stuff out of the house. I can dream right? Thanks for the inspiration.
